MEET THE ARTIST: Nora Khatcherian

Nora Khatcherian is an Armenian American artist who has been living in Bangkok, Thailand, since August 2023.

She primarily uses mixed media and soft sculpture to explore themes of place, protection, and play. Her work draws from her personal history and her experience in Thailand's rich culture and traditions.

The "Nora Artscape" Show: "Kid Wisdom" is part of her first solo show, "Nora Artscape," where she shares lessons and inspiration from her experience in Thailand. The show also includes works like the "SKELETON & BABY LAMB" soft sculptures, which blend Armenian and Georgian culture, and the "FAMILY HISTORY" series, which uses cross-stitch and textiles from Armenia, Egypt, America, and Thailand to embody the word "strive" in four languages.

Exhibition History: Khatcherian has previously exhibited her work in Washington, DC (October 2022) and Ayutthaya, Thailand (January 2024).
